Pugwash - This Could Be Good

The second single to be released from the critically acclaimed album "Jollity", the 3rd album from Dublin-based Pugwash. "This Could Be Good" is the follow-up to "Nice to be Nice" which proved a HUGE hit with DJs across the land and beyond.

Track 2 is the bands take on a Colin Hare (60's greats HONEYBUS and solo artist) little-known classic "To My Maker". Pugwash's Thomas Walsh has been a huge fan of this track ever since he bought Colin's amazing solo-album "March Hare" back in 1989. The album was originally released to an un-wanting and stupid public back in 1971 and comes unbelievably highly recommended by the band. If this 2006 version brings a few more fans to the altar of Mr.Hare then we here at Pug-Towers will be very happy!!

Track 3 is a bona-fide "Jollity" out-take. "Home To Me" was originally attempted AND recorded twice during the sessions for the album but for some reason it just didn't come up to the standard that was being set elsewhere on the record so it was shelved. When the track was resurected for the single the only things that were kept from the original sessions in Abbey Road - Studio2 were Thomas's vocal and some organ parts. The rest was recorded during the "To My Maker" sessions in late 2005. It's a small departure for The Pugs (not much) but you can come to your own conclusions when you hear it on March 3rd.....!
